Donate to the Medical Class of 2004 - Taphozous

As many of you know, our classmate Jessica Lyons passed away in January of this year after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Jessica was a strong, resilient, genuine mother, wife, and friend. She was 35 years old.

We want to honor Jessica’s commitment to medicine, her passion and enthusiasm for psychiatry, and her dedication to helping people to connect with one another in a deep, meaningful and fulfilling way.

Your gift will help us to provide a yearly award of $1,000 to an undergraduate medical student with an interest in psychiatry, with special preference being given to those with a specific interest in perinatal psychiatry. The prospective recipient must be either pursuing research in the field, a clinical elective, or planning to attend a related conference.

We are pleased to let you know through the generosity of Taphozous class members who attended our reunion, we were able to gain a pledge commitment of $31,000 to achieve our goal of setting up this endowed award in honor of Jessica.

Thank you for your interest in giving to the University of Calgary.
