Inclusive Governance Support Fund
Within the Indigenous, Local, and Global Health Office at the Cumming School of Medicine, stands an innovative initiative dedicated to fostering inclusive governance.
Inclusive Governance is a trailblazing endeavour characterized by its action-oriented, community-centred approach and its unwavering focus on the future. The Inclusive Governance Support Fund, led by Dr. Aleem Bharwani, serves as a catalyst for meaningful change and empowering communities to actively shape university decisions. By facilitating collaboration and dialogue, the fund ensures diverse voices are heard and respected, thereby enabling the university to effectively address real challenges and seize emerging opportunities.
Through its sophisticated and groundbreaking methods, the Inclusive Governance Support Fund bridges divides—be they geographical, cultural or generational—while amplifying the voices of those traditionally marginalized or overlooked. Moreover, it transcends short-term thinking by embracing a visionary outlook that prioritizes the needs and aspirations of future generations.
The gift will be used to support the Indigenous, Local, and Global Health Office’s capacity-building, community engagement efforts. It will also enable innovative projects aimed at furthering the goals of inclusive governance, fostering collaboration and amplifying marginalized voices within the university and its broader community.
Join us in this critical journey towards inclusive governance, where every voice matters, and together, we can shape a brighter future for all.
