In tribute: Hong, Hunter and Segura ScholarshipsOn April 15, 2014, the lives of Lawrence Hong, Joshua Hunter, Kaiti Perras, Zackariah Rathwell and Jordan Segura were tragically cut short. Three of the five – Lawrence (Urban Studies), Joshua (Haskayne School of Business) and Jordan (Religious Studies) – were University of Calgary students. Kaiti was a former student at Mount Royal University, while Zackariah attended the Alberta College of Art and Design.
In honour of former students
Lawrence Hong,
Joshua Hunter and
Jordan Segura, the University of Calgary – with the support of community members, family and friends – established three scholarships (valued up to $1,000 each) to be offered annually in perpetuity. The first recipients will be selected in the 2015/2016 academic year.
Those wishing to contribute to the scholarships can do so by selecting the links above.
As we mark the first anniversary of this heartbreaking event, the University of Calgary continues to stand by the family, friends, classmates and faculty members who mourn the loss of these bright, young lives.
