Rebecca Holmes was an exceptional person in all respects. A lifelong learner, she completed a Master of Epidemiology degree while working full-time as a clinical dietitian on the renal and bone marrow transplant units of the Foothills Medical Centre. She dedicated her life to advancing the dietetics profession and to improving patient care; she herself cared for some of the most vulnerable patients in the hospital.
As part of her legacy, Rebecca wished to support fellow dietitians with the ambition to pursue a Master’s degree while continuing to work. Therefore, to honour Rebecca and her incredible accomplishments, we are establishing the Rebecca Holmes Memorial Master’s Scholarship at the University of Calgary. This scholarship will provide financial support to those exceptional, hardworking dietitians pursuing graduate studies.
We invite you to join Rebecca’s family in establishing this scholarship in Rebecca’s name and memory.
