Kelly Grosky Memorial Men's Volleyball Award endowment

The University of Calgary Dinos were deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of men's volleyball alumnus Kelly Grosky on November 26, 2014 at the age of 47.

Grosky starred with the Dinos men's volleyball team in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was a multiple-time Canada West all-star and earned both first team All-Canadian status and the Dinos' male athlete of the year award in 1992 - but his crowning achievement came in 1989.

The setter on one of the greatest teams in CIS history, Grosky led the Dinos to a perfect season in 1988-89, en route to the national championship game on their home court in the Jack Simpson Gym. The Dinos captured the second CIS men's volleyball title in school history with a 3-0 win over Manitoba that day, and Grosky was named the tournament MVP.

As a legacy to Kelly's profound impact on the Dinos the Kelly Grosky Memorial Men's Volleyball Award endowment has been established. We welcome friends and family to contribute online below. Or for more information please contact Alex Molotsky at asmolots@ucalgary.ca or 403-220-7207.
