The Glans-Look Lung Cancer Research program

The Glans-Look Lung Cancer Research program (GLR) was initially set-up in 2006. Through the generation of the GLR database, researchers will be able to study lung cancer tumors and relate what they see under the microscope with what happens to the patient. By comparing molecular data with the corresponding clinical treatment and outcome information, they might be able to determine potential biomarkers that can help predict response to treatment or survival outcomes for patients.

Your support is essential to help us maintain this comprehensive lung cancer repository, continue to gather real world data, and expand beyond Calgary to provide a more comprehensive picture of lung cancer in Alberta. Data and tissue repositories are a crucial resource in the cancer fight, advancing our goal of improving the quality of care that patients receive.
