Online Donation Page for the Gallo Lab

Dr Marco Gallo’s laboratory studies brain cancer in children and adults, with a special focus on glioblastoma, an incurable and rapidly lethal malignancy. Dr Gallo leads an interdisciplinary team of scientists that perform genomics and experimental research using clinical tumor samples and patient-derived models.

Your help will sustain his efforts to uncover new ways of targeting cancer cells with effective treatments. This need is particularly urgent for glioblastoma patients. The current treatment for adults is ineffective in the medium to long term. For children, no effective standard chemotherapy treatment is currently available.

Dr Gallo is an emerging leader in brain cancer research. His research has been published in top peer-reviewed journals. He has attracted national and international peer-reviewed funding and is working closely with an international network of scientists and pharmaceutical companies. Donations made through this page will go directly towards advancing these research discoveries – your support, of any amount, will help change the course of cancer care and treatment in Alberta and beyond. Thank you for sharing in our vision for a better future of health for all.
