Michelle Wickerson 1980-2016

Michelle Wickerson was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, compassionate humanitarian and dedicated Social Worker.

Michelle started her Social Work career at Distress Centre Calgary immediately following her graduation from University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Social Work. After working in a front line capacity for a few years, she attended McGill University and obtained her Masters of Social Work. She then returned to Calgary and Distress Centre and started an eleven year career as a member of Distress Centre’s Leadership Team. At Distress Centre Michelle found her passion for helping those most in need and was instrumental in building the organization to become the essential service it is today.

Michelle was a selfless, intelligent, funny, loving and beautiful woman who had a profound influence on every life she touched.
