Giving to the U of C

Annual Giving

Whether it’s supporting the University of Calgary Superfund, a faculty, the library, or a Dino’s athletic team, support from our donors makes a difference to students, faculties and departments. By making an annual fund gift, you allow the University of Calgary to remain flexible in ever-changing times and enable us to meet our ‘Eyes High’ goal of becoming one of Canada’s top five research universities by our 50th anniversary in 2016.

An important element of the Annual Giving program is the University of Calgary Superfund, which is used to fund our most urgent projects. The Superfund has three key areas of focus: empowering students, empowering change, and empowering success.

Empowering Students. Your gift to our annual funds has an immediate positive impact on our students. Gifts received to non-endowed annual funds are expended in the same fiscal year that they are received ensuring that our students have access to resources, funding and opportunities that enhance their academic experience.
Empowering Change. Annual funds allow faculties and students to explore new learning opportunities like the Advanced Technical Skills and Simulation Lab in Medicine, or undergraduate research initiatives, ensuring we are fostering a love of research and innovative thinking in our student body.
Empowering Success. Your gift to our annual funds mean our students have access to those critical experiences outside the classroom – study abroad opportunities, community engagement opportunities, inter-conference play opportunities for our athletes, or conference attendance such as the CASE competitions for our Haskayne business students.
